Attention Customers

Please note everything associated with KEP FX Pedals is the work of a single person.  If there is a  pedal you are interested in, but is out of stock, please contact me or send a request to be informed when the pedal is back in stock.  I can usually build and restock these pedals within two weeks.

KEP Ocular Optical Tremolo Pedal

The KEP Ocular Optical Tremolo is based on the Demeter Tremulator with an upgraded oscillator section designed by Steve Bartlett (Bajaman).  Mr. Bartlett designed this circuit after tracing the popular Demeter Tremulator.  He was disappointed that the oscillator section of the pedal was poorly designed.  This disappointment led Mr. Bartlett to integrate a much smoother, classic oscillator circuit within the Tremulator’s circuit.  I have made additional modifications to this circuit by adding a master volume control, and a Wet / Dry mix control to allow the user to blend the amount of tremolo signal with a buffered dry signal.  This allows the user to obtain a wide range of tremolo effect, from subtle to extremely choppy.  For more information about Mr. Bartlett’s circuit, please see his post on freestompboxes.org here.

KEP Ocular Optical Tremolo pedals are built with quality components including an Xvive VTL5C1 optical isolator / coupler, quality Lumberg jacks, and Cusack / Stompboxparts.com potentiometers. This pedal is true bypass utilizing a low noise, reliable, soft touch relay bypass system. This pedal is built in a 1590b (4.425″ L x 2.382″ W) sized enclosure.
