The KEP Ocular Optical Tremolo Pedal is a handmade tremolo pedal modeled after the Demeter Tremulator circuit with Steve Bartlett’s (Bajaman) revised oscillator, built in a durable 1590B enclosure (4.425″ L x 2.382″ W). Added master volume and wet/dry blend control for the tremolo signal. Lumberg jacks, Cusack/Stompboxparts potentiometers. Hand-soldered, true bypass relay switching for reliable long-term use.

The Demeter Tremulator Story:
In 1982, Ry Cooder asked James Demeter to build a tremolo pedal matching his favorite amp’s tremolo circuit.[1] Demeter refined the design using Cooder’s own Fender Twin as reference, and the resulting pedal was named by 1980s session musician Steve Carnelli, who told Demeter it wasn’t a tremolo, it was a Tremulator.[2]
Steve Bartlett (Bajaman) later revised the Tremulator’s oscillator section, which he felt was underpowered in the original design — the basis for the Ocular’s circuit.[3] The pedal itself was recognized by Guitar Player magazine as one of the fifty coolest pedals ever made.[2]
